John Moore’s remake of The Omen has a virtual shot-for-shot affinity with the original, according to Glen Baisley’s feature for horror-film destination Fangoria.
Mia Farrow, who plays the evil nanny in the movie, tells Baisley that she took the role because Moore made a convincing argument that “he wanted to do this film his own way for a new generation, his generation.”
If his way really is a carbon-copy remake, then he must not have learned anything from Gus Van Sant’s rather pointless color remake of Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho.
