Vache, Pizzarelli Headline Jazz Show at Re-Opened Palladium

Trumpeter Warren Vache, guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli, vibraphonist Chuck Redd and the Arbors Records All-Stars, a group collectively billed as the Statesmen of Jazz , play the "Grand Reopening Celebration" at the Palladium Theater on Saturday night. The group also includes bassist Mark Neuenschwander and drummer Tracey Alexander.

The show, at 8 p.m., opens with guitarist Nate Najar's Trio, featuring bassist John Lamb and Redd on drums.

Tickets, $22 and $27 ($32 seats are sold out) are available by calling (727) 822-3590. For more info, go to the Palladium's web site.

For all the details on the re-opening, see John Fleming's piece in the St. Petersburg Times.

BTW, a colleague and I today shared fond memories of seeing Bucky Pizzarelli, all those years ago, play the Buena Vista Village Lounge in Orlando.
