Cinephilia: The Rules of the Game

Noted film critic David Bordwell recently wrote a funny, very knowing column about cinephilia on his blog.

Bordwell makes a passing reference to Cinemania, a 2003 documentary concerning the misadventures of a truly obsessed -- okay, disturbed -- group of New York City film buffs.

A couple of years ago, I ran across the DVD at my local library. It's well worth watching if you can track it down. Here's a BBC review of the movie.
