Heads-up on a South Tampa club show this weekend:
My friends and former bandmates* Bryan Zink (guitar) and Domenick Ginex (multi-instrumentalist; bass on this show) are playing a set of Beatles music at the beginning of their gig with a cover band this Friday night at the Red Dog, 3311 Bay to Bay Boulevard.
The Beatles set will start at about 9, and the band will later play a wide variety of rock covers. Admission is free.
Word on the street is that a more ambitious Beatles covers project may spring from this gig.
*(The connection: Years ago, the three of us played together in a rock/pop/alternative band called Liz Back on Booze; Dom and I also played together in the jazz group Bop City)
