I certainly miss out on the large majority of concerts around my area - my day job, family, band gigs and miscellaneous writing work (like this blog) fill up the bulk of my time.
Still, I'm guessing that last month's show by Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings at Skipper's Smokehouse has to count as one of the year's best. For my Billboard review of the concert, go here.
