Jaco Pastorius in the Top 40? Finally?

Thanks to Mark Rini from Groov Marketing-Northwest in Seattle for pointing this out, in a post on the Jazz Programmers List-Serv:

(from Mark):
Don't know how many of you are familiar with St. Louis based rap/hip-hop artist Chingy, but I thought you might find it interesting that the title
track of his latest release "Pullin' Me Back", which is now a Top 40 song,
uses the melody to (Jaco's) "Portrait of Tracy."

You can hear it here.

(from me):
Jaco was a genius-level musician and composer, so ... It's about time.
(Yes, as a matter of fact, I am something of a Jaco worshiper. Don't know Jaco? Check out Weather Report's Heavy Weather or Jaco's self-titled debut, which includes "Portrait of Tracy," a gorgeous unaccompanied electric bass piece comprised almost entirely of harmonics.
